Mike Coglianese
Founder and Principal
Mike Coglianese is the founder and principal of MICHAEL COGLIANESE CPA PC. A boutique CPA firm which has been providing the futures and hedge fund industry with audits, accounting, compliance, and tax preparation for 30 years. Prior to forming his CPA firm he worked at National Futures Association (NFA) in the compliance department. At NFA he was responsible for compliance and financial audits, investigations, and financial analysis.
Throughout his futures and hedge fund career, he has served as an expert witness during NFA arbitration, CFTC proceedings, FINRA arbitration, and mediation. Mike is considered a leader in our industry and continues to serve on various panels as a compliance, auditor, and tax expert in our industry.
Mr. Coglianese graduated from Purdue University in 1983 with a B.S. degree in Accounting.

We keep ourselves up-to-date on current rules and regulation changes from NFA, CFTC, and PCAOB by attending continuing education classes and industry educational events. Throughout our 30 years, we have continued to build and strengthen our relationships with various regulators. We are a member of the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) AICPA, NIBA, and the Illinois CPA Society.
As a result of our knowledge and experience, our boutique accounting firm and staff are viewed by regulators and peers as industry experts. We have served as expert witnesses during NFA arbitration, CFTC proceedings, FINRA arbitration and mediation. MCCPA ha been referenced in numerous industry related books and articles. Mike Coglianese, Principal and Founder, continues to be a preferred speaker, serving on CFTC/NFA compliance panels with other industry experts. He was featured as a compliance expert when interviewed on The Money Show. In addition, we commonly volunteer as guest speakers at major universities.
